FLAVIO AMARAL

Flavio Amaral was born in Minas Gerais, a Brazilian state well-known for home-cooked food. He has lived also in Rio de Janeiro and moved to the United Kingdom 14 years ago where he has lived in Buckinghamshire – Cotswolds, Shropshire, Wales and London. From pub kitchens to Embassies, Flavio has developed his passion for cooking and has also experienced working as a private chef.  In Wales, he attended the Hereford Tech College where he has experienced cooking with top chefs like Jamie Oliver and Rose Gray for important guests as ex-US presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, among others. As Head Chef of the Brazilian Embassy in 2016, Flavio launched the first edition of the Brazilian Taste  Festival, a showcase of Brazilian cuisine that put together passionate Brazilian chefs with different backgrounds. With his experience, Flavio has also worked for other Embassies in London including Chile, Colombia and Israel, His upcoming new project is the second edition of the Brazilian Taste.

Our Goals

1 – Appreciation of the most popular drink of brazil

Nowadays, cachaça is consumed in almost every country in the world and it represents well our culture. Methods of preparation, aging and all the cultural history surrounding this genuinely Brazilian drink will be presented.

2 – Brazil’s capability of producing wine

A sample of our winemaking is schedule in our program, demonstrating brazil’s capability of producing the highest quality wines. Some of these wines have already been awarded.

3 – Business and partnerships

by promoting the Brazilian gastronomic culture, demystifying our ingredients, which many have not yet been presented to the global appreciation. We aim to approach manufacturers, distributors and buyers in order to encourage business and partnerships.

4 – Charity project

Part of the Brazilian taste’s profits will be given to a charity project called Proviver Criança. If you’re interested to know more about this charity project click in the link below.

Brazilian Taste 2017

For the second consecutive year Brazilian Gastronomy is  going to have a special space in London. Chef Flavio Amaral is proud to  present again The Brazilian Taste 2017. Our company cannot miss the opportunity to show our products for the British audience.
